Freelance Audio Engineer & Researcher
Ryland is a freelance audio engineer and audio engineering researcher based in Southern Alberta. He specializes in capturing live performances and working with analog equipment, including the SSL Duality, API 1608, and the coveted Trident A Range consoles.
With a philosophy rooted in preserving the raw energy of a performance, Ryland brings a hands-on, musician-first approach to every session. Whether it's tracking a full band live off the floor or crafting a detailed studio production, the goal is always the same: serve the song.
Pre-production work on 2020's Agricultural Tragic. Co-engineering credit on the track "Louis L'Amour."
Working with Leeroy since 2015 at Rebeltone Sound. Credits include Austerity (2020), Strange Path (2019), Me and the Mountain (2019), and Love Versus (2018) — serving as assistant engineer and musician across all projects.
